AI video · Cinematic text-to-video & image-to-video
For faceless creators · 2026-06-22
Plenty of tools generate video like Sora. The question that matters for a faceless channel is which ones you can legally put on a monetized video — and at what price. We read the license on every major AI video generator. Here they are, best quality first, each with the cheapest plan that’s safe to monetize.
Best value
AI video · Cinematic text-to-video & image-to-video
Top quality
AI video · Google's flagship video model with native audio
Visible 'made with Veo' watermark on every tier except Ultra (~$100/mo)
Quality score, the cheapest plan that’s safe to monetize, and the catch on each.
AI video · Google's flagship video model with native audio
Visible 'made with Veo' watermark on every tier except Ultra (~$100/mo)
AI video · Cinematic text-to-video & image-to-video
AI video · ByteDance's flagship video model
Seedance is a model, not a consumer app with one free tier. ByteDance does not sell it directly. You reach it through Dreamina, Jimeng, CapCut or third party API resellers, and each of those wraps free output in its own terms: Dreamina and Jimeng watermark free output, CapCut can add one on AI or Pro-template clips, and all reserve commercial use for paying users. There is no Seedance-branded free plan whose license lets a channel publish.
AI video · Text & image-to-video generation
Free clips are permanently watermarked, non-commercial, and used to train Luma
AI video · Gen-4 video generation + a creative editing suite
AI video · Multi-model AI studio
No commercial license on the free tier (commercial use starts on Basic)
AI video · Open-weights video generation
Open weights are clean to monetize, but only if you self-host (a GPU is required)
AI video · Preset cinematic camera moves & consistent characters
AI video · Storyboard-to-video AI
Watermark on free, and personal-use-only license through the $15 Lite tier
AI video · ByteDance's Seedance generator
Watermark on free downloads, and the ToS limits free output to private, non-commercial use
AI video · Fast, high-volume text-to-video
Watermark on free exports + no commercial rights
AI video · Reference-to-video with multi-subject consistency
The free tier is personal/non-commercial only and stamps every clip with a visible Vidu watermark, so you can't legally monetize it.
AI video · Lowest-IP-risk AI video clips
Free is near-zero volume (a 2-generation trial); the IP indemnity Firefly is famous for is NOT on the $9.99 individual plan, only on teams/enterprise Eligible Plans
AI video · Social-ready AI B-roll
Watermark on free, and the license caps all output at non-commercial use
AI video · Cinematic AI video model (Marey) marketed as trained only on licensed, commercially-safe data.
Its Terms of Service explicitly let you use Outputs for your own commercial purposes and confirm you retain full ownership and copyright, a genuinely strong, primary-sourced commercial-use position. The 'trained only on licensed data / commercially safe' claim, however, lives in marketing/press, not in the ToS we reached.
AI video · Open-weights text-to-video
Watermark on free playground, no commercial rights on the hosted free tier
AI video · Many video models, one subscription
AI video · Text-to-video & AI voiceover
"Made with Fliki" watermark on free + no commercial license
AI video · Text & image-to-video generator
Pika contradicts itself: pricing page lists Commercial use on free Basic, but ToS/FAQ say Basic and Standard are non-commercial. Pro is the only unambiguous commercial tier.
AI video · Tencent open video model, free to monetize but not in the EU, UK or South Korea
HunyuanVideo is open weights under the Tencent Hunyuan Community License. Commercial use is granted royalty free, and the only scale trigger is 100 million monthly active users, which no normal creator will hit. The real catch is geographic: the license expressly does not apply in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or South Korea. If you operate from those territories, you are not covered.
AI video · Agent-driven AI ad, UGC and avatar video generator for marketers and ecommerce.
Terms and pricing are public and explicit, but the free tier is flatly off-limits for monetization: it ships a 'Non-commercial license' AND a watermark, so a faceless creator must pay before publishing anything.
AI video · AI motion capture and 3D animation from video or text
Terms (updated Mar 2025) explicitly state you retain full ownership of your uploaded Content and DeepMotion claims no ownership; the company is actively shipping (SayMotion + Animate 3D). But the free/output commercial-use terms are tied to plan tier and not spelled out plainly.
AI video · Fast realtime AI image generator plus 4-second AI video
Terms and FAQ are plainly published and unambiguous: the FREE and Explorer plans grant you NO rights to your generated content, and free output carries a decohere.co watermark. Commercial use is explicitly gated to the paid Creator plan and up.
AI video · One canvas, every top video model, Veo, Sora, Kling, Seedance and more
Live, active aggregator wrapping premium models (Veo, Sora, Kling, Seedance) with a published per-model pricing table. But the Terms of Service page is client-side rendered and could not be read, so free-tier commercial-use, ownership and watermark terms are unconfirmed.
AI video · ByteDance's all-in-one AI marketing video maker with a generous-looking free tier that ships every export with a Pippit watermark.
The free tier grants a real commercial-use license (ToS Section 10 expressly permits commercial use of Pippit Company Content, and you keep ownership of your own content), but every free export carries a baked-in Pippit watermark. A watermarked clip is not cleanly monetizable for a faceless creator, so the FREE tier is not safe-to-ship as-is.
AI video · Free AI generation tool and community for image and video, including 4K
Vivago is live and markets itself as a fully free AI generation tool and community covering text/image-to-video plus 4K upscaling. However, its terms, pricing, and help pages are JavaScript-rendered and returned only marketing copy, so commercial-use, ownership, watermark, and attribution terms could not be verified from any primary source.
AI video · Music-synced AI video & animation
Free tier is explicitly non-commercial in the terms
AI video · Motion transfer and character animation
Viggle's free tier stamps a watermark on every clip and the broad content license you grant lets Viggle reuse and even train on your videos. Add the heavy character and likeness risk of motion transfer and free output is not safe to monetize on a faceless channel.
AI video · Anime/video stylization and AI video generation via Discord and web, generous license, but the free tier brands your clips.
DomoAI's free plan gives you only a tiny pool of starter credits and, per multiple 2026 third-party reviews, since DomoAI's own pricing page shows no free tier and lists 'No watermark' only as a feature of every paid plan, free outputs carry a DomoAI watermark. A watermarked clip is not clean for monetized faceless-YouTube uploads, so the free tier fails our 'legally AND practically monetizable' bar even though the license itself is creator-friendly.
AI video · AI agent makes full videos from one prompt
InVideo's terms grant you a broad perpetual commercial license to your output, but on the free plan the InVideo brand/username watermark can only be turned off on a paid plan, so free exports ship with InVideo branding baked in.
AI video · Browser animated-video maker, but the free plan is watermarked and bans monetization
The free plan is for personal, non-commercial use only, exports carry a watermark, and the terms explicitly bar distributing videos for revenue.
AI video · xAI's image-and-video generator inside Grok, fast, edgy, but the genuinely-free door has mostly closed and the license is murky for monetizers.
There is no longer a clean, no-subscription free tier you can rely on for monetized work: as of 2026-03-19 xAI moved Grok Imagine generation behind X Premium / X Premium+ / SuperGrok. Some users still report a small daily free allotment tied to an X account, but it is unstable, region-gated, and, critically, we could NOT load a single xAI primary page on 2026-06-23 (terms, usage policy, and pricing all returned HTTP 403 / Cloudflare bot-block to us), so we cannot certify that free-tier output carries a commercial-use license. For a faceless creator who needs to monetize, that combination (no certifiable license + a tier that may vanish or be gated) is why this ships safeOnFree:false.
AI video · Text/blog-to-video AI generator for marketing clips
Zebracat HAS a free plan (no credit card, 720p exports) but its OWN pricing page lists "Commercial Rights" and "Watermark removal" only as PAID-tier features. Nowhere on Zebracat's own pricing, help, or terms pages is commercial use explicitly granted on the free tier, and the free output is 720p with watermark removal reserved for paid plans. So for a faceless creator who needs to legally monetize, the free tier is NOT safe: upgrade to Cat Mode, the cheapest plan that lists Commercial Rights + watermark removal.
