How we verify each tool

Dated license reads, watermark checks, and multi-source price verification. If a claim isn’t verifiable, it doesn’t ship.

We read the license, not the marketing

For every tool we read the free tier's actual terms, commercial use, watermark and attribution clauses, and paraphrase the relevant line in the review, with the date we read it.

We check the watermark policy

From each tool's own terms and docs we confirm whether free-tier output carries a watermark, visible or provenance-only like Google's SynthID. A watermark, not detection, is what blocks monetization.

We verify the price across sources

We confirm the cheapest plan that lifts the watermark or grants a commercial license against the tool's official pricing page, cross-checked across multiple current sources. A wrong price would defeat the whole point.

Re-verified, and dated

Terms and prices change without announcements, sometimes within days. Every verdict carries a 'last verified' date, and we re-check the index regularly. Quality ratings are our editorial read of each tool's capability, not a lab benchmark.
