How we verified this
We don’t run generation tests, we read the fine print. For Quso (formerly vidyo.ai) we read the free tier’s own terms, its commercial-use, watermark and attribution rules, then confirmed the cheapest plan that lifts them against the official pricing page, cross-checked across multiple current sources. The watermark and license clauses below are paraphrased from those terms, and the quality score is our editorial read of the tool, not a lab benchmark. Everything here was last verified June 13, 2026.
Watermark & licensing, the part that decides monetization
Why the free plan fails: Watermark on free output, and free publish is TikTok-only
Watermark
The free plan stamps a visible Quso watermark on every export and caps quality at 720p. There is no free way to remove it. Upgrading to any paid tier (Lite and up) removes the watermark and unlocks unlimited 1080p, which is the only point at which clips become usable for a monetized channel.
License
Quso's Terms of Service state it does not own the content you create and does not grant itself rights to use your output for commercial or marketing purposes without permission, so the license itself is creator-friendly. There is no attribution-to-quso.ai requirement. The blocker on free is purely the baked-in watermark, not a license clause, so paid output is clean to monetize.
“"We do not own any data, information or material (Content) that you submit... Unless specifically permitted by you, your use does not grant quso.ai the license to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish or distribute the Content created by you for commercial, marketing or any similar purposes."”
Pros & cons
Pros
- Cheap entry to watermark-free 1080p clips at $24/mo, with annual dropping to $15/mo
- All-in-one: AI clipping, animated captions, plus scheduling to 7 platforms on higher tiers
- Terms leave content ownership with you, no commercial-rights grab and no attribution demand
- 75 free monthly credits are enough to genuinely test clip quality
Cons
- Free output is hard-capped at 720p with a watermark, useless for publishing
- Free direct-publish is TikTok-only, no YouTube or Instagram from the free tier
- Clip-selection AI is solid but not best-in-class versus OpusClip
- Listed monthly Lite price ($24) is a discount off a $29 sticker, so it can move
Pricing, which plans are actually safe

FAQ
Can I monetize Quso's free clips on YouTube?
No. Free exports carry a visible Quso watermark and max out at 720p. You need the Lite plan ($24/mo, or $15/mo annual) to get clean watermark-free 1080p clips.
Is Quso the same as vidyo.ai?
Yes. Vidyo.ai rebranded to Quso around late 2024 and expanded from a pure clipper into an all-in-one clip, caption, and scheduling suite. Same company, more features.
Does the free plan let me publish to YouTube?
No. Free direct-publish is limited to TikTok. YouTube, Instagram, and the other platforms only open up on paid tiers, so faceless YouTube creators need to pay regardless of the watermark.
